- Any adult who is working in the Scouting Program.
- May be given to clergy, religious, laity, or Scouters of other faiths.
- A Scouter does not earn the Bronze Pelican emblem but is recommended by application to a board of review by another person.
|
Purpose |
- The Bronze Pelican Emblem is the highest diocesan emblem awarded by
the Phoenix Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting.
- The purpose of the Bronze Pelican Emblem is to recognize the recipient's outstanding contribution to the spiritual development of Catholic youth in the program of the Boy Scouts of America.
|
Requirements |
- Work accomplishment and dedication rather than a specific number of years in Scouting should be the criteria for receiving this emblem. The Phoenix Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting suggests three years of current and active experience to be nominated for the Bronze Pelican.
- Completed nomination form must be returned to the nomination committee by the published deadline.
- A new nomination form must be submitted each year.
|
Presentation |
- The emblem is usually presented at an Adult Recognition Dinner, Bishop's
Dinner, or Annual Recognition Ceremony.
