The Diocese of Phoenix administers the following national religious emblems for Cub and Boy Scouts and Venturing crew members. Click on each emblem name to see the national requirements for each emblem. Emblem workbooks are available at the Scout Shop and from scoutstuff.org or Pray Publications. Cub Scout Religious Emblems:
The Cub Scout emblems are to be worked on with the family. It should not be a den activity. The emblem should take 2-3 months to complete. Start and completion of the emblem should be coordinated with a trained religious emblems coordinator. See the list of coordinators (counselors) by clicking here. The emblem is typically awarded at a parish ceremony and the BSA religious knot is awarded at a Pack meeting. After the Cub has completed the workbook and met with the parish priest for review, send the completed form and $10.00 to cover the emblem and shipping to:

Boy Scout and Venturing Emblem:
Boy Scout and Venturing religious emblems are worked on in scheduled meetings with a trained religious emblems counselor (moderator for Pope Pius XII). Sessions typically start in September or October. Participants must attend a retreat as part of the program and pass a Board of Review typically held in mid-April. Payment of $12.50 is due at the Board of Review. The emblems are awarded at a diocesan ceremony in May. The religious knot can be awarded at a parish ceremony or Court of Honor.
